Our EMRO executive team has over 25 years of individual experience within the healthcare, clinical, mental wellness and education sectors. We developed emroPsyc as a direct result of the limitations that we saw in affordable and timely access to mental health for immigrants, migrant workers and international students. Being first-generation Canadians of immigrant parents or immigrants ourselves, we experiencened the struggles that come with fitting into a new community, lifestyle and family dynamics. We feel that access to mental health support in a non-discrimatory culturally appropriate environment that includes support in multiple languages spoken by those communities is absolutely necessary for providing safe and effective help for individuals and communities in need.
